Let's Give Peace and Change a chance!

Imagine these beautiful Barack Obama Peace Crane garlands decorating all the polling booths across America! If only! Since 1979, Nancy McNally has been creating these beautiful and unique symbolic creatures. The permanent peace crane ornament is her signature creation. Different from the ordinary paper origami peace crane, McNally glazes her cranes and adorns them with a beautiful jewel and a wire loop for hanging. Aside from the element of permanence, McNally's peace cranes tell stories, inspire learning, teach history and support many important social causes. Many thousands of these birds have been donated to various AIDS non-profit organizations for fund raising opportunities. She has been donating peace crane ornaments since 2001. Last Spring, McNally donated 1,000 cranes to the Susan G. Komen organization for a benefit gala in Orange County, California. The peace cranes sold for $100.00 a pair, and raised $30,000 for the Susan. G. Komen breast cancer research effort. I firmly believe that one person can make a difference. McNally has done just this! Her cranes can be seen in galleries and boutiques from coast to coast. In March of 2007, McNally sold her first peace crane on Etsy, in her Etsy shop, localcolorist. Her shop is full of facts, life, beauty and as of late, political energy. McNally is an amazing inspiration and sincerely supportive of the artist community. If one were to exist, McNally would be a serious contender for an Etsian team spirit award. But I wouldn't get your hopes up if you want her to make a Republican GOP permanent peace crane garland. Her answer would be a firm Republican and Peace are not to be used in the same sentence. Get out the vote with your own permanent origami peace crane ornament and visit McNally's one of a kind Etsy shop, localcolorist today! Let's give Peace and Change a chance!
